Rapid Craft's Sportsman is at home
anywhere it goes.
Idaho's famous Snake River is the birthplace of
the Sportsman but Coeur d' alene Idaho is where we found out
just how versatile it could be. We can do it all.

Versatile would be a great nick name for the
Sportsman Extreme and Sportsman 160
- The Sportsman is large
and stable
enough for relaxed fishing.
- Enhanced structural design
that
makes the Sportsman
tough enough for more challenging rivers and adventurous fishing.
- The Sportsman is a large cut
above other small aluminum boats, while remaining affordable.
-
"Open Bow"( a
square nose bow) gives you; the user, a 100% usable deck. Example: a
16’ ft open bow (square nose) would compare to a 18’ ft pointed nose
boat. But because the Sportsman is two feet shorter, you now have the
added quality having the maneuverability of a shorter boat which
requires less horse power and give you better fuel economy but 100% deck
usage.
-
With a open bow, you now have room for those the extras such a
bow thruster and battery.
-
The Sportsman comes pre-wired for a bow
thruster and has a built in battery compartment. This leaves your extra
space clean and uncluttered. You can even install a pedestal mount for
an extra fishing seat.
-
Satin Polyester Splatter Paint
inside eliminates glare and heat reflection
and is extremely
durable and easy to clean.
-
Outside Satin Clear Coat is to
reduce sun fading and has a semi flat finish which is conducive to
water fowl hunting.
-
Painted boat bottoms make the
boat go through the water easier. Once again increasing fuel
economy.
- Added Security - Rapid Craft has increase the side depth of the
Sportsman to give you more security and safety than the low sided
flat bottomed Jon boats. You feel the security of the added depth in
the rough water especially.
- Better Fuel Economy - The increased depth combined with
Rapid Crafts' low draft, (sets you higher in the water) gives
you greater fuel economy. It takes less horse power to push
the boat through the water. Better performance with lower power
rates.
- Formula for balance is; weight,
length , and flotation designed to correctly produce the boats’
precise pivot point to run at maximum performance.
Balance in a boat is more important than horse
power.
