Rapid Craft is located in prime Idaho River Country. Just one mile West of Blackfoot, Idaho at 454 W Hwy 26.

Rapid Craft was founded in 1978 on the banks of Idaho's famous Snake River. Every boat is had crafted and built to meet or exceed Coast Guard Requirements.

Founder Steve Scott was born and raised in southeastern Idaho. His love of the rivers and boating has been life long. Steve built his first boat in 1962. He knows first hand the challenges and exhilaration of river boating. His desire to build the "best boats" has sparked creative and powerful boat designs.

Steve graduated from Idaho State University with a machinist degree. He has a wide manufacturing background. Manufacturing a variety of products has given him valuable experience in machining, welding, sheet metal fabricating and mechanics.

In 1976 he turned from production manufacturing of electrical products to aluminum boats. During the past 25 years, boats and marine accessories have become the largest part of his business today. These years of experience and refining have developed an affordable high quality river boat.

Through the years of manufacturing, Steve has acquired a wide range of manufacturing equipment not commonly found in boat manufacturing. The wide range of equipment allows 98% of Rapid Craft Boats to be manufactured in house. With lower manufacturing cost and higher quality control, Rapid Craft can compete with larger boat manufacturing companies.

Our new line reflects years of experience and refining in boat manufacturing in all categories such as  "Medium Duty and Mid Size Jet Boats", "Ultra Light Inboard Jet Boat" and "Drift Boats".

Currently Rapid Craft's focus is on its' new line of midsize boats, the Classic and Sportsman. Balance in a boat is more important than horse power. Design, flotation, weight and hull design have been carefully formulated and set the standard in small boat hydraulics. Rapid Craft designed the Classic and Sportsman for durability, handling and performance, plus comfort.
